Rosemary Musachio

Born with cerebral palsy, Rosemary’s motto is “If you don’t concur challenges, you aren’t living”.   Rosemary has adhered to that quite well.  Despite all her challenges, Rosemary has been able to accomplish a great deal during her life, so far.  For every limitation she has, she has been able to overcome it in one way or another.  Although she cannot walk, she dances in her wheelchair to music.

She has made many of her dreams come true, one of which was becoming a writer and publishing this poetry book.  Besides establishing herself as a writer and a poet, Rosemary has pursued another dream of traveling and setting new heights… literally.  She has visited Italy (6 times, so far), Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Belgium, and Holland. During one of her visits to Italy, she even met the Pope!  She also has a daredevil spirit.  Several years ago, she did tandem hang-gliding in Ridgley, Maryland, where she went up twice at 2,500ft and 5,000ft.  A year afterwards she took a ride on a customized motorcycle through eastern Metroparks and Chagrin Falls in Ohio.  She even rode horses on a dude ranch in Colorado.

Her ”day job” is managing REM Creative Consulting, where she consults clients on technology accessibility issues.  Rosemary also has given presentations on healthcare communications, for which she has tremendous passion.  Besides healthcare communications, she is a developing spirit communicator at Rose Spirit and Soul.

Archana Kalbhor

Based in India, Archana earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology with honors from Pune University.  She smiles to herself when she thinks about how the university posted banners with her photo.

Although Archana  was driven for a passion for technology, she wanted a career that had a purpose, one where she could make an impact on the lives of others.  So she chose digital accessibility—“a field where technology becomes a bridge, not a barrier”, as she eloquently says.

Archana started her journey in digital technology by remediating PDF’s.  Within six months, she taught others the same skills that she had mastered.  Eager to expand her knowledge, Archana taught herself web accessibility and transitioned into this exciting and impactful field.

Over the years, Archana trained around 270 people in web and document accessibility, empowering others to create inclusive digital experiences.  She pursued her CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility) from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) through self-study—a testament to her dedication and perseverance.

Archana’s commitment to excellence continues at REM Creating Consulting where she audits websites and remediates PDFs.
